I have narrowed it down to these 2 tv's. They are both newish models. My main problem comes when i start trying to compare apples with apples.
According to the tech spec on the Sony it has a 33,000:1 contrast ratio, where as the panasonic (with inbuilt freesat receiver) has a 10,000:1 contrast ratio...is this right or are they measured against different scales. As that much of a difference I would have thought would make a noticeable difference to the image quality.
Additionally they all seem to give their own flouncy terms to the colour engine or the Advanced Contrast Enhancer (Sony) or Intelligent Scene Controller (Panasonic).
I have always in the past been a Panasonic man and found them to do what they say on the tin, be easy to use and last well, BUT everyone goes on about the Sony's. So as i will be spending £700/800 i would like to get the best choice for my dosh.
Any help would be really appreciated.
