Hello,

I am in dilema of which would be a good TV to buy? I am looking at Sony KD55XD7005 & LG 58UH635V. I can get either of them for £600

I do realise that Sony is 3" smaller than LG but it has Android.

Sony pros
Android
4 HDMI sockets (though I currently use 3)

LG pros
3" bigger

Distance between my current TV and sofa = 280 cm (9ft 11")

I currently have a Panasonic 42PX80 that I had been using for 9 years and still works solid.

Any advice would be good :)

If it has to be one of those two then I'd have the Sony because I would expect it to have better video processing than the LG. But to be honest I would avoid both of them due to the low contrast IPS panel. Unless wide viewing angles are important to you (something IPS is good at) I'd buy the best Samsung you can afford. It will have a VA panel for better PQ.
