Hello , just purchased the above telly , all is good up to now, there is not much 4k available to watch so I downloaded a 4k movie (17gb MKV file) and transferred it usb , but it says 'hardware cant play , switching to software playback' then goes black and does not even play , I am very disappointed to be honest , a decent 4k tv , that can't even play 4k files , or am I doing something wrong?

Depends on how the 4k file has been encoded, mvk files can be a pain,go onto demo world.com there is a selection of 4k demo's you can download for free. Also worth knowing that using a USB 3 stick or hard drive will make a big difference in both reading and writing speeds.
