Hi all, my sister has got the above TV and has a problem getting digital channels now, the standby light flashers red twelve times, waits a few seconds and starts again, he has spoken to a engineer who her boyfriend knows and he said its the digi board has gone and its a common problem with this set, he also said that they would have to change the analouge board as well

Is this true or does somebody know what the problem is

    Regards

    Chet

The problem is on all of sony's IDTVs (except the new DX50 and dl10) and happened on a OAD, e-mail sony about it. They now have released another OAD which I think rectifies the problem.

My set has auto updated to V3.0,
spoke to a Sony engineer who said 12 flashes indicates that there is 'no acknowledgement from the MSP chip'.

    Is this true?
