My sony kd32-dx40 flickers quite badly in the bottom left of the screen when playing an ntsc source, its seems to be fine in pal60(via my xbox) but R1 dvd's and ntsc gamecube dont have the option to put out pal60 just ntsc 60hz.

Anyone notice this or know of a fix?

My Panasonic TV also did the same- a area about the size of my fist which flicker on the bottom left with NTSC; the rest of the screen was stable. In PAL the whole screen was stable as well.

I couldn't find any info on how to fix this problem. The only thing I found was that the Panasonic tube is incompatiable with NTSC material. So I bought a new TV (Toshiba 42" RP) no flicker with NTSC material at all.

Sorry I can't help you out.

You need to try RGB via Scart 1

Its already hooked up th the rgb socket, its present in s-video as well.

Its a tube/ntsc problem rather than a lead socket one.

Just tried pal60 again an after the set warms up that flickers too.

Nathan I have read about a panasonic on another forum with the same problem as your old set and my sony.

Has anyone else had this problem with 60hz on their sony set as if not may try and change for another, this is my 3rd set from the retailer after 2 very dodgy Tosh'es.

Feel like I should of just popped to tescos and bought an alba.

Is there anyway this flicker in 60hz mode can be fixed via the service menu?
