I've just bought a Sony KD28DL11U and the picture quality is superb.

But, on Sony's web site it says the KD28DL11 has a PCMCIA CAM slot for Top up TV. I can't find it on mine. Is it hidden behind anything?

    Cheers,

    Ray D

    :rtfm:

It should be in there - there is a cover on the back which protects it! :rtfm:

Ah, found it. Item 8 on page 26 shows a greyed out cover saying 'for future use only'. As Top Up TV is now with us, I wonder if the 'future use' is here yet.

    Thanks a lot Martin.

As a matter of interest, do you have a small hum bar on your screen? On the right side of the screen there is a small hum bar - well a line really - which travels up very slowly. It's there with any input selected.

    Cheers,

Yes that is DEFINATELY the CAM slot

Hum bar well there are things to try

If it is on DTTV turn off any plugged in thing.

If it is on DVD switch the TV to analogue before DVD.

Reason is that RGB out is available from Scart 1 and there is a possibility of cross talk.

Future use - well it didn't use to be as I had an Ondigital CAM
