Sony KD-49XG9005 Help

I bought a Sony KD-49XG9005 2 years ago from Curry's it came with a 5 year warranty, now it has developed a fault, the whole screen has blue and white vertical lines making it impossible to watch, i called into my local Curry's on Thursday 30-10-21 to report the problem, and was told to call a phone number i was given, it seems if you have a Sony product then you have to go thru Sony for repairs, now Curry's have acknowledged i have a 5 year warranty, Sony say i only have one year and will not budge, any advice would be appreciated.

Well you need to tell Curry’s Sony are giving you the runaround.
It is Curry’s who are responsible for sorting this out.

Yeah, i registered it the day i got it with Sony, it was for one year warranty, i just assumed Curry's cover the rest of warranty,

I'm pleased to say Sony have redeemed themselves today, they have replaced my faulty 2 year old Sony KD-49XG9005 with a brand new Sony XR50X90JU, so i'm happy with this outcome.
