Horizontal geometry like that cannot be adjusted. Only vertical bowing etc.

As far as I know the only way is to replace the TV or
change the tube. Before you worry though I would go
Into a showroom and look at any TV 32” or above, most (if not all!) will have a slight upwards bow, especially on Sky menus etc.

How many mm is the bow?

You are likely to get lots more issues if the tube is changed going from those here who have had theirs changed.

Thats pretty big.. Looks like Sony quality control at its best yet again!! Think ours is maybe 3/4mm which isnt so noticable.

If it bothers you send it back.. as Im fairly sure theres no way of altering it in the service menu..

    Anyone else?

I think it can be controlled with stick on magnets.

A GOOD engineer should be able to fix it.

Who would pay extra for perfect geometry?

I would imagine stick on magnets could cause secondary problems with colour staining.

had a engineer come out and he told me that the tube was to blame told me that i could get the scan coils reset?????? but i would lose some of the detail on screen charged me £25 and promptley left phoned them to see if he had got in touch with sony and he said that SONY had told him that a bow like this was in reasonable state (basically live with it) but i went down to the sony ctr in notts where they have a set on display snd lo and behold there picture is perfect even on sky ( think ill get in touch with techtronics for a replacement tv)

actually what you need to do is adjust the magnet's (which are already attached) on the back of the tube .
This should really be done in a w\shop .

    I have a Horizontal deviation of about 3-4mm , vertical is 0mm
