This is a Sony HXD970 Freeview & DVD recorder in very good condition. I bought it here a couple of years ago as a stopgap and it's behaved perfectly ever since. Complete with remote and PDF manual on disc, and in the original box.

How strange. I've just dumped my Pioneer equivalent on PC World's recycling desk this afternoon. Was fed up with its single SD quality digital tuner, otherwise it was in perfect working order. It was ten years old.
Have replaced its DVD playing ability with a cheap, simple Sony DVD player.
I hope you get a buyer!

Thanks, but judging from the interest so far I'm not holding my breath. Is the price too high?

I've got two of these (ok, one is an 870:)) and had a third at one time. Still use mine for recording BBC6 music concerts and some Sky programmes to watch elsewhere.
I think pricing is fine as postage is included, sorry don't think I need a third one again and if it doesn't sell at £50 I would hang on to it but GLWS anyway.

Thanks for that, Tuddy. And I agree, it's a perfectly decent machine still.

Oh dear I feel guilty dumping mine now but I try to keep my kit minimal to my needs and am trying to simplify TV recordings to my old Humax T2 Fox or its possible replacement ie the notorious 5000t, if I get one.
