sony - hxd860 - strange timer problem - help!

Hi all,

have the new Sony HXD 60 dvd recordr. Mt 2nd one - as the 1st failed to recrod freeview!

ANyway - generally excellent unit - except -

when settign timer recordings on channel five - when the recording happens
- and you go to play back - the picture and sound is all distorted and unwatchable! - I ve also noticed it jumps to channel 800?? rather tan channel five?

It looks like there are two channel fives? !!

anyway - wnet to back the correct channel five to check quality - and it was rock solid!! - HELP ANYONE - WHAT IS HAPPENING.

All other channels to to record just fine.

Is this a faulty unit - or some strange set up problem?

any ideas - please help - other 860 users.
