Just received my RDR-HXD870 and KDL40D3000 TV. I am looping the aerial thru both Analogue and Digital connectors ending with the D3000 aerial input. I expected the loop-thru continuity to remain even when the 870 is switched off, but the digital loop-thru breaks open with 870 off and the TV no longer receives any RF. I can work round this, but has anyone else experienced this bizarre behaviour?

Depends what you mean by "switched off"?...switched to standby or off at the mains supply?

Good point; didn't make that clear. It happens when I just switch to Standby with the remote and the mains supply is still connected

Have you changed the power save mode in the Sony menu?

    See instruction book

Many thanks; it solves the problem. I think RTFM applies to me in this case!
