I am having trouble getting sound and connecting my Sony soundbar (HT-XF9000) to my TV (Model KD-65XG896). I have run a HDMI cable from the ARC input on the TV to the ARC input on the sound bar. When i then activate and turn on the soundbar it cuts the sound to my TV. Its not until after i turn off the soundbar i can then hear sound through the TV speakers.
I have also connected a HDMI from the sound bar and into the DVD player. This seems to work fine with the DVD player and i can hear the sound coming out of the soundbar and can then use the control for the soundbar to change the volume and SW levels.
Does anyone know why i might be experiencing these issues. I feel that i've done all i can and can't think of anything else to check. ??
Any advice would be appreciated.
