OK just bouncing this off some peeps & I think I know the outcome but worth a try! :)

When I watch Sky the sound from the rear speaker is 'sploshy' ie. the treble sounds are distorted & hissing.
I have the system on Dolby PLII which enhances the prob.

I think this could be several things but need an experts opinion:
    - sky's broadcasts are just sh*te; we know that & that's the problem.

    - I have the system on optical sound from a sony VTX-S750U receiver - that's the problem

    - a problem with the surround system?

    Any idea?

I have a Sony with an optical link and no problem, although I have heard of this from someone else, what is your signal strength and quality like? Is it all channels? Have you tried with a Phono connection? Have you tried recording a transmission with the problem and replaying it to see if it is still there via the video source?

My signal strength is 100% but the quality is 50%.
Not all channels do it but that could be to do with the type of audio? (BBC seems to be the best)

Yep if you record off Sky the video has the same problem.

Haven't tried it on phono but would prefer to use the optical - I have my Xbox on an optical lead with no probs.
