Gday, Im in the market for a projector after seeing and mates Sony CX5.

I was wondering why the CX5\6 doesnt seem to get a mention here with everyone going on about the HS20. The CX6 is 2000 lumins and is around the same price as the HS20, so why does everyone go for the HS20? I know the CX6 isnt widescreen is that the only reason?

The CX6 is a data projector and as such is more leaned towards giving a brighter image than anything else. The HS20 (and most Home Cinema projectors in comparison to their data projecting counterparts) will have a much more competent video processor, colour reproduction, contrast and of course the extra widescreen pixels it has over the CX6.

If you were to look at them side-by-side, the HS20 would be more detailed, smoother, more realistic colour, deeper black and would quieter too!
