Sony HS-50 or ScreenPlay 5700?

    The answer to this is the same as all the other 'vs' questions when DLP and LCD are involved. Read the previous posts on pro's and con's of both technologies (there are plenty of them), and then try and get a decent demo of both to decide :)

    Yeah finding a demo of both is going to be hard as in Ireland it is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack.

    I am wanting HDTV (sky also) so I guess that puts me to the Sony only.

    I see the problem.

    Its tricky because I can wax lyrical about how good I think the HS50 is, and an owner of the 5700 will do the same. Then the conversation turns into (another) LCD vs DLP debate, and you end up none the wiser :(

    Well from what I've heard they are both pretty decent. I guess with the HDMI inputs on the Sony and the £200 cheaper price tag then the Sony it will be. Though I will try and find somewhere that can demo them both.
