Hi all just orderd my CC40R filter for my sony hs10, should be getting it this week.

I have herd that it reduces the total black by 14% over the filter that comes with the sony hs10, it takes out the blue gray to proper dark gray + 14% darker black.

It also increases the contrast by 27% as well

can not wait to try it if this is all true i will post my findings if you want me to so let me know

    thanks to all

please let us know what you find, I am interested to see if the contrast really improves without losing too much brightness. I find the hs10 to be not bright enough on some films.

i would be interested in the 'blue black' situation. I find mine to be on the blue side, using the sony supplied filter , but i havent started to tweak anything yet until i get a proper screen in place.

    keep us posted!
