    Hi,

I have Sony HMK - 55B stand alone turntable HiFi, which recently has decided to start acting up a bit and I was after a bit of advice from someone with a knowhow of turntables... Problem is, when playing records the sound comes through full pelt and as normal on the right speaker outlet (I have changed speakers around and they're both fine and work on other systems in the house with eqaul quality) but only just muffles quietly on the left speaker output, however this doesn't happen with the radio function! Tapes I have not tried. It's a bit of a pain and quite irritating and also makes the speakers hiss, as if they're are struggling to put out the sound! Can anyone help me and shed some light on the situation before I have to lug it into the nearest repair shop?... Again.

    Regards,
    Craig.
