Sony HDR-SR12E to 37LG5000 Component Connection Problem

Hi,

I got my first ever camcorder today, the Sony HDR-SR12E, so please pardon my ignorance.

When I connect it to my 37LG5000 LCD TV via the Sony supplied Component cable, the picture looks as if it's not receiving any blue, (only red and green). I've plugged the cables in and out a few times without any improvement.

Also, during playback the TV screen randomly goes completely black for a couple of seconds at a time.

The LCD on the camcorder displays perfectly at all times.

Anyone hazard a guess whether it sounds like a fault somewhere or is it some kind of compatability problem?

Thanks,

Barry

If you have not used the component input on this tv before it would be worth checking that first,if the input works with other machines it must be a camcorder or cable problem,i woulld then go to a store currys etc and try it on a tv there i am sure they will if you say you are interested in a certain tv but need to know what your cam looks like on it firsrt ;)
