Does anyone know if the new Sony HDR-HC1E is fully progressive? What I mean, can you set it so that it doesn't shoot interlaced video? Can you get it to record 25 full frames per second, without any interlacing nonsense?

It shoots 1080i only. It actually record 1440x1080i but at 16:9, so 1920x1080i is the output standard.

Ok, thanks for the info. It would nice to get an HD progressive camcorder, so that you don't have to worry about interlacing and all the technical problems that go with it.
