Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and couldn't find it. I'm going to buy a Sony HD* player today and I'm wondering if the HD5 is worth the extra money? Argos and a few other places have a special offer on the HD3 for £150 but the cheapest I can find a HD5 for is about £180 (online, on the high street everyone wants £200). So is the HD5 worth the extra £30?
The HD3 is also in stock at Argos so I could pop along and buy one of them today (I'm a little impatient :D ) but the quickest the HD5 would arrive would be Tuesday or Wednesday.
So for people who own either or both, which one would you go for and why? The only real benifit of the HD5 I can see is the removable battery but the HD3 is better on the eye.

see that 50 page thread about the HD5 getting cracked buttons? Still relatively 'small' chance but can you risk 190 notes?

only thing wrong with the HD3 is slight background hiss. But it can be drowned out. It can only be heard during quiet periods of songs. Out of 800 songs, I only have about 8 with hiss.

Impatience won in the end, I've just been to Argos and bought the HD3. Installing SonicStage just now and charging up the battery on the unit. Going to start ripping some CD's to attrac format as soon as SonicStage is installed.
I figured that the only reason I would want the HD5 was for the removable battery but by the time the battery in the HD3 is playing up I should be ready to upgrade by then (I hope :D )
Plus the HD3 does look better imho. This is my first portable hdd mp3 player and the thing is tiny. Just need to get some sort of clip for it to clip to my shorts when at the gym.

yep, that's what I did. Just grabbed 3.1 rather than installing the 2.3 that came with the unit. Only had it a few hours but I'm impressed so far. Going to unlock the max volume now.

Don't bother with the clip thingy (if you can find one) try to get hold of a mini disk arm band, that works in the gym fine for me, the head phone wire does not get in the way.
