I've had my Sony HD3 for 1 week now and like the mini disc before it I prefer to use it in the car as I have a Aux in on the back of my ICE.
Is it OK to use the in-line remote from my Sony mini disc player as it fits the HD3 line out socket ok and I need to position it out of sight below my car radio.

I'm just concerned it may do damage if I plan to use it full time and why don't Sony do one to match the HD3 anyway?

    Thanks

I've tried the remote from the NE700 CD player. The thing operated the HD3 but the display was completely non-functioning. I bought the RM-MC35ELK which Audicubes said worked for the HD1. And works perfectly for the HD3.

In terms of long term damage, who knows? I was actually going on some advice from my local Sony Centre who suggested that my existing CD remote would work, so I imagine he was not expecting it to do any harm (or maybe he just didn't care!!!).
