I have recently bought (second hand) a Sony DCR_DVD110 camcorder. The only accessory was a charger/mains adapter. Everything seems to work okay. I have bought leads for connection to my TV and to my PCs (Desk top XP and Laptop Windows 7) and though I can watch videos on TV I cannot connect to my PC for uploading. I have downloaded a operators manual which informs me that I need to install a driver. Can you tell me how and where I can obtain such a disc or better still a free download?

    Try the Sony support site.
    There is something called
PlayMemories Home (Picture Motion Browser successor) v. 4.3.01
which may do what you want.

The larger manufacturers have support sites with software for user manuals, drivers etc.

The good news is you can now start to make Films/Movies - wish you success.

You will need a Video Editor to go with yr PC - Try SonyCreative website and get a 30-day trial of Movie Studio - that will make sure yr PC is suitable and that yr footage will be accepted ( I'm sure it will, but a free trial is always good). If you then want to Buy, I suggest you get the more-expensive "Suite" as this contains additional Software.
I'd have thought this camcorder is DVD - which Movie Studio will accept....and solid-state Memory....which is often far easier to use, but sometimes the SS memory was for stills . . . . something to research.

    Good luck.

Hi vkmast and everyone Thanks I've been succesful in installing Playmemoriesonline on my windows 7 laptop. It was a bit longwinded but it seems ok. I've tried uploading some videos but I now have to find them on the laptop (obviously I've a lot to learn but I'll persevere.)

    Thanks again to you all

    Ken.
