I have been tempted by the Sony GXD500 for a while as it is the only DVD recorder available with a Freeview tuner.

I decided to wait for a while as I would have liked a recorder with an HDD as well.

I was delighted to hear that Sony were bringing out a replacement for the '500 that included an 80Gb HDD, but have since found out that this replacement does not include a Freeview tuner :(

I already have a Freeview box, so will I get just as good quality by plugging this into the HX510, or would I be better off searching out a '500?
