    Hi all,

Does anybody have any information on the Sony KF-42SX200? I first saw it for sale on unbeatable.co.uk for about £2600 including stand (sexy little glass number!) but there's no image available.

Sony's site doesn't mention it at all (surprise, surprise!!!) but Techtronics are listing them, complete with picture and it looks awesome!

Any info and/or a review would be greatly apprecated. I was thinking of getting a plasma until I saw this beast, now I don't know what to do

    Thanks in advance

I emailed Techtronics a couple of weeks back about it and they said they'd never heard of it :)

I found a picture of it on the Czech Sony site (of all places). Apparently, it's out in April so it *may* be in the April Sony brochure??

Pretty sure that this is internally virtually identical to the KF-50SX200. It is an LCD rear projection TV and, as such, will have:

    - no visible refresh rate flicker at all
    - theoretically perfect convergence - subject to factory setup, but, once set correctly it will never drift out of alignment
    - no problems with external magnetic fields
    - theoretically perfect geometry - again, subject to factory setup and again, won't drift once set right.

The 50 inch model has been on sale for some time now, and can be seen on display in larger Curry's, some Sony Centres etc.

AFAIK, the projector inside is actually much the same thing as is found in the VW??HT front projectors. I'm not sure which of these PJs is closest, but I'd guess at the 11.

Thanks for the replies so far. :)

I think I'm going to get one and check it out for myself, I've just had a 36FS76 but it's going back on Sunday as the picture is ghosting slightly with dvds.

yeah, it seems that they don't provide a good level os after sale support. I guess I'll have to wait, the price is too expensive anyway, hopefully it will reach 2000£

    Hey Spiderman,

Did you get round to buying this Grandwega? I'm thinking of upgrading my 32LS60 so would appreciate some thoughts and opinions before I make up my mind.

I've dismissed plasma screens as there's been too much mention of screen burn :( so figured this is my next best option.
Seen it for sale on empiredirect for £2183.73 today.

    Thanks

Oh. In that case does anyone else have any experience/thoughts on this set?
Also, any ideas where I can get rid of my 32LS60 that's no even a year old yet?
