I've noticed that when I play DVDs which are NTSC encoded, the picture constantly flickers (light to dark).

The flicker doesn't happen every time I play a NTSC DVD. Neither is it limited to region 1 DVDs - I have a number of Region 2 DVDs (NTSC) on which the flicker occurs. I never have a problem with PAL.

I know it's the TV cos to get rid of the flicker I just have to power off the TV and then switch it back on.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing it and whether it's a fault with my TV or the model in general?

My DVD player is a Sony and I use RGB output via a Thor SCART.

    Cheers!

Can't see it being the model in general as i've just bought a 28FX68 purely to play my games consoles on and they are all NTSC and work perfectly.

    Hope that helps.
