Sony FX66 stand question

from what i see on the sony site, the fx66 comes with the same hideous 'oven' door stand as the fx65 did. But when i looked on the QED site (where i'm considering purchasing from), it lists it as "Open stand supplied"

does this mean sony are offering 2 different stand options for this model?.

I have the fx66 and it has an open stand very similar to the dx40.
great tv, good geometry, good colour saturation, no edge tizzing.
Overall great picture without the scrolling bars of my previous tv (fq75).

Sony are supplying the DX40 stand with this,
the previous stand looked like a microwave or something!
