I have 2 Sony VTX-D800U Freeview boxes, fed from the same aerial. One at the latest s/w version v1.11.01U, the other at the previous version 1.09. Each have the following intermittent fault. The picture gradually disintegrates until it is unwatchable, over a period of a few minutes. Checking the signal quality at this time gives an "average" reading. The strength is 100%. When the box is switched to standby and then back on, the fault instantly disappears, and both strength and quality are 100%, which is what they are normally when the fault is not on.
It is quite an intermittent fault, and the high gain (loft) aerial is giving a consistently good signal to other freeview equipment in the house, via aerial amplifiers. Could the amps be having an effect ?
    Anyone else with this problem?

Finally traced to a loose aerial connection. A lesson learned...!
