I posted yesterday about a problem I was having with my new Sony DVP-NS955v DVD/SACD player playing an SACD. As mentioned, it won't play on ANY DVP-NS955vs I've tried (3 seperate units). It's plays on all other makes, as well all other model Sonys - or so I thought.

I went to the shop today to downgrade my DVP-NS955v to an DVP-NS780 specifically for this problem. Though, before I took the player home, I asked them to open the box and try the SACD. Again this stopped on Track 6.

It seems both (and possibly more) Sony machines have the glitch. If you intend on using your Sony DVD/SACD to listen to SACDs - then be sure they all work! I've decided I will pay more and purchase a Marantz.
