    Hello people,

I'm looking to purchase a Sony Experia Z3.

I'd like it to be New or As close to New as possible ideally.

Colour preference is Black but I could be open to the other colours.

My network is Virgin so the phone would need to be Unlocked or at least work with my SIM.

Let me know what you have :)

My price range is around £240~ if new > depending on age, condition and extra's.

    Thanks!

    Location: Cambridge

Brand new warranty replacement just arrived back from Sony. Brand new as in 'still in the wrapper, not even been switched on yet' brand new. Comes boxed, with charger and screen protector. On 3 but I'm sure I can unlock. Will ring them now.

Do you mind me asking what was the fault it developed in order to be replaced and how old was the previous one?

Also is there any valid warranty left with the phone?

How much are you looking to get for it roughly?

    Cheers.

My daughter broke the screen and it wouldn't respond to touch.
End of sept 2014 so warranty until sept 2016 :)

Used ones go for around 270..what do you think is a fair offer for brand new?

Sorry for the slow reply, those prices are quite a bit above what I was looking to pay unfortunately, thanks for the offer though.

Well I'm not just saying that to try and haggle your price down but I was looking to pay £240 max for the Z3.

There hasn't been a used one sell for that, let alone a new one. I would haggle, but £240 max isn't realistic imv.

So after over a week of my previous seller messing me about I am still on the lookout for one of these :(

Could you let me know how old yours is, is the warranty still valid if so until what date, and would you be willing to take £225 posted without the cases? (I've already bought a case after I won the other phone)

Still looking at my options at the moment, don't go holding it for me or anything though, the previous phone I'd won on eBay was only a month old and cost £200+postage, obviously that didn't work out to plan but I'm looking there for prices as well, thanks though.

    Lol!
So you put a thread on here asking for a phone, members respond with phones that meet your requirements but you don't buy, as you want to play the lowest bid eBay game.

Maybe you should edit your original post to say 'will pay £210 max' so that other members know not to go in here unless they want to sell that cheap.
    Your etiquette sucks IMO.

    Thanks for the input there..

I got back from abroad and was looking at getting an S5, I looked into how much they were and knew the rough price, I then switched my thinking after seeing the Z3 and thought it was roughly the same price so was looking to pay £240 for a new one, yes I looked at eBay for most recent prices as the Z3+ had just come out so I expected the Z3 to drop which is seemingly has.

All of my previous phones have been bought on here but when I am factoring in a price difference of what looks to be £40 then the eBay option is something I will consider, if you listed the new phone you may get around £240-250-ish minus fees (not saying you would look to list there) so my offer was around that on here since you'd save on fee's and such.

I offered the other seller £225 because his was not new, he wished to stick at £245 and that's fine.

Anyways that's where my price range comes from, I did mention I wasn't trying to haggle your price down from what you wanted, if you see that as the value then no worries and good luck with your sale.

Edit: I've updated my original post, hopefully that's better?

My post is in reference to hulltiger who asked for a response on the 24th June but you decide not to respond while you go looking elsewhere to bag a cheaper phone.
That's poor etiquette in my view.

Not that I should have to explain all this to you but..

On that day I had already bought the phone on eBay (£203.80 for a month old one was too good to pass up) and I was just waiting for it to be delivered within the next few days, I replied to him "I might have sorted myself out now but I will reply here again if I am still needing one to check if you have that" indicating that I have hopefully purchased one but if anything went wrong as tends to be the case sometimes on eBay that I would reply here if I still needed a phone, to check if he still had it and discuss further which he acknowledged.

I wasn't not responding whilst looking to buy cheaper, I had already bought a phone, its just that seller messed be about for a week as my reply stated and in the end eBay refunded the money even though they had promised they had sent me the phone twice in that time.
