Hi readers, my 1st post so be gentle..
SE k800i, sometimes when I make an outgoing call, the handset will make, & connect the call, but i get no ringing & of course, no speech thru the earpiece or any connected headset, be it wired or bluetooth. (I have proved the fact that the call connects by ringing my landline). The only way to get over this is to re-start the phone. Any1 else had any similar problems?

Not heard of this at all. What firmware are you running?

To find out which firmware revision your phone currently has installed, select Menu > Settings > General > Update service > Software version. For more detailed software versioning information, perform the following:

    >*<<*<*

Where < and > represents pushing the joystick left and right respectively.

Software info screen reads like this.....
    R1C001 prgCXC1250212 ORANGE WI R1CB001
EROM: R3A016 prgCXC1250461 EROM DB2020 WILMA FOTA SIMLOCK FLAFLA SIBLEY SEMCUSB
Not sure if they,re the correct #s, there are loads more relating to LCD screen, camera etc....
May sound silly but would the fact that the handset is Orange branded have anything to do with it?
    Cheers...

It seems like you have the very first release firmware. Try updating to the latest one through a SE service centre and see whether it makes a difference.
