    Hi,

I've had my Sony Ericcson K700i since christmas.

But how do i transfer things via bluetooth?? I dont know if my computer has bluetooth.

Can you transfer or upload full mp3 songs??? Coz i want some on my phone- not just short clips for ringtones.

The phone also has infra-red so could i do it by that??
But theres a problem with that too, lol. On my computer monitor it has a dark square on the front which i'm sure looks like an ifra- red thing, but i cant find out if it is- i've looked everywhere.
My monitor is a Cellink 17" TFT. Which looks like this:

Can anyone help- i dont have a clue about this but i really, really want some songs on my phone. I bought a data cable a while ago, but it doesnt work!

    :lease:

    luv

First of all you need to make sure your computer has bluetooth (If it is not fairly new I would say it hasn't) You would need to buy a bluetooth usb connection so that your phone can talk to you computer via bluetooth. You then need to make sure both are turned on then pair them up together so that your computer recognises your phone.

Also make sure your phone is not hidden under the Bluetooth settings.

    thanx for your replys.

I finallygot my data cable working!! I've had it since january, lol. So when i done it, i went on the sony ericsson sound editor to record a song. I recorded it and went to play it back and there was no sound. I sent the song to my phone- and theres no sound on that too.
    Whats wrong?

Is there any other program i can use to send songs to my phone?

    luv

    hi,

thanx so much for your reply. I'm going to have a look tomorrow for a bluetooth usb thing. It will be alot easier and quicker than the data cable.

SE's data cable is rubbish and so is it's software. Stick with bluetooth, it's a lot more hassle free!

I have the same phone, and connect it to my PC via a USB Bluetooth dongle. (cost about £15)

I can swap media with the phone easily, and it can also sync my phonebook and Calander with Outlook.

If I were you, I would go down the bluetooth route, and refer to the manual for details on how to connect your phone to the PC via a "virtual" serial port.

    Good luck

I bought the Belkin usb bluetooth adaptor at argos. Its so much faster than the data cable, lol. It took 2 hours to transfer one song wiv the data cable but wiv the bluetooth dongle it only took 2-3 mins.

Approx how many songs can u transfer coz i only got 4 songs on.

    luv

    Hello again Ashleigh

Your k700i has 40mb memory {ithink} and an average song is about 4mb so it depends what other things you have on your phone such as videos and pictures etc.
So if you had nothing but songs on your phone you could have between 8 to 10 songs.

Glad you like the Bluetooth, much better aint it?!

That's the biggest drawback with the K700i, it doesn't have removable memory! :(

Try Mobiledit I use it for picture transfer, it supports all ways, BT, infra, cable and basically manages all phone content.
