    Hi
neen looking at the Pioneer DV-565a and Sony DVP-NS930. Fancy the 930
because it has a bigger video DAC plus has some better reviews. I am also
worried about the reported RGB banding on the 565a which keeps popping up on
    the forums.

However the Sony is about £230 which is more than i wanna spens and im not
worried about the proggressive outputs but SACD is a must. Ive just come
across the Sony DVP-NS705 which is only about £120 and seems excellent inc
    SACD.
Any one got one of these seems its excellent.

Yeah the 930 was built from the 730, only with added SACD playback...

I believe the PQ on the 730 is as good as the 930, which I can vouch for looking outstanding...

sorry to hijack, but its a sony dvd player i have.

I have the Sony dvp- NS730P, its labled in the sony catalogue as Mulit R and progressive scan, i assume therefore its both PAL and NTSC prog.

just a quick thing picture Q is fantastic, but i tired to play a R1 last night and it wouldnt let me, my other player a tosh 220 is MR and it plays fine.

i have only had this sony a number of weeks and this is the first R1 ive tried. do i need to look in the manual or something. Or am i missing something simple ( like a mod chip )

    thanks

i didnt buy it as such, it was a gift from sony to keep me quiet about some terrible customer service, so i cant moan.

is there a hack for MR or is it a chip job
