Hi all, im just about to take delivery of a Pioneer DVD writer and was wondering if my Sony DVPNS400D player is likely to play DVD-R's that I create on the Pioneer? The Sony is Region 2 only as it stands (no mods) Will this make any difference?

Its a Pioneer DVR-105 which is pretty industry standard as far as i know, and writes DVD-R/RW media.

    Thanks
    Ben

As the above link will confirm, the NS400 does playback DVD-R media. :)

The fact that your machine is R2 only won't make any difference as disc's burnt on a recorder are not region encoded... :)

    All the best...
