    Hi,
I am seaching for a used sony champagne dvd player and decided that it will be either the S9000ES or NS999ES. Is there any that can tell me the main difference on the 2. I understand that the NS999ES has replaced the S9000ES which should make the S9000ES cheaper but is it much better and worth the money ? I will not used it for MP3 or SACD but normal cd and DVD.

I have both of these units and think they are great. The major difference between the two is that the 999es supports multichannel SACD and the 9000es supports 2 channel only. The 9000es plays standard CDs better than the 999es but the picture from the 999es DVD playback is better (when viewing on a large screen). Apart from that they are both great, never had any problems with either.
