    Hi All

I was thinking of getting a Sony DVP-S7700. Is it worth it? This model is a few years old now but gets excellent reviews and is pretty cheap nowadays. Am I better of getting a newer Sony model (I want a Sony DVD Player to go with my Sony TV and Amp) or is the DVP-S7700 best for my price range (£500).

    Hi

Ive got one (had it for over 1 year now)and It is chipped for multi reg.

Personally I think its an awesome machine (although a little soft sounding using the CD pickup - in comparison to a Denon DCD1015).

I use it in a Tag McLaren (AV32R - digitally fed) & Arcam Alpha 10 power amp setup with a Panny 32PK20 tv fed by Qed Squarts in RGB mode. And it is AWESOME,

If your not fussed about progressive scan just yet then their out there for a bargain around your budget.

I certainly dont regret mine & I did a sh*t load of research & demoing to come to the Sony as an eventual purchase

    Hope this helps <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">
