    Hi,

I've recently bought a Sony DVP-PQ2 DVD player and am having a slightly annoying problem.

After stopping a disk playing you get the normal message on the screen about 'disk resuming play from this point'. But if you switch the player off (not at the socket just on the player itself) and switch it back on, it automatically starts the disk menu....therefore you cannot resume play....

Obviously, if I didn't power the player off, I would just be able to press play and the disk would resume.

I don't seem to ba able to find anything in the instructions about this and was wondering if anyone has got a way of stopping the player from firing up the menu when it is switched on ????

By the way, apart from this, this is a fantastic little DVD player.

Thanks in advance for any advice
    Gaz
