After a quick look inside i think the motor that spins the discs is dead.Has anyone got any advice on where to get spare parts for a Sony?

Thanks in advance

You can check with Sony UK for parts and a quotation, which i am sure will be quite some money.

I would suggest to you that since the 900 is a rather aged machine, for the amount it will cost you to repair the 900, plus a few more bob will get you a reasonable specified sony dvd with Progressive scan (Pal/Ntsc) and decent SACD as well.

I thought it would be expensive to repair. Its a shame because i think its one of the best looking players around. With this knackered and the VHS player dead i think i'll get a Panny e55.

Oh well!
