I'm thinking of getting a multi-disk DVD player and was thinking about getting a multi-region Sony DVP-CX860D from Techtronics.

Does anyone have one of these or know of any problems with them?

I understand that the earlier Sony multi-disk players had problems that need the players software to be upgraded.

    Any info would be great

    Thanks
    Glenn.

Set the search criteria (top left hand) back a few months, there was some bitching about them.

I got a Sony 850 (200 disc) from Link online, I was happy with their service.

I got my 860 from Techtronics with the mod, it was faulty on arrival and they turned it around within 5 days.

The performance is excellent if you can live with the awful interface.... if you've got a Pronto it'll make life a lot easier!!

I bought this player from Richer Sounds in the end - I'm impressed - the only thing is only a handful of my 100+ discs have the title listed, so I have to go through and label them!!

    Yawn :D

Many thanks for all the info.

I think I could live with the bad disk menu system although I am tempted to get a Toshiba 210e now and get a multi-disk player in the future (maybe when Sony sort out their menu system ).

    Cheers,
    Glenn.

The menu system is ok to handle as long as you leave the images of (displaying if it's action etc)

I'm very pleased with mine! :D
