Hello all, I wish to tap the fountain of knowledge this forum seems to provide.
I have the aforementioned Sony DVP 7700 and although long in the tooth and close to replacing for a shiney new DVD-Rec/HDD Combi, it's still pretty good. My only question is this, it seems to play DVD-R's no worries but any DVD-RW's I've burnt get a "Cannot play this disc" error. I've tried searching the net for compatibility but being such an old player I get old links, so does it support RW ? I've used Nero 5 to burn the ISO image and I think it's been finalised ( the box was ticked), also the media is a Sony DVD-RW ver 1.1. It seems to play no worries on my PS2, so I'm guessing it's just the 7700. I suppose a second question would be is it worth selling should I get a new combi player or is it as I suspect all but worthless ?

    All help much appreciated.
