    Hi all,

I want to connect my Sony DVD to my 42PD5200, currently hooked uo using a S-Video leads onto AV1 on the Plasma, is thuis the best way or not? If not then what would be thje best way, the DVD has no scart, just red/white/yellow phono style outputs, although there is a digital output that has been taped over since I have owned the unit (from new), is it best to use that and if so what would teh lead I would need and woul it improve the picture drastically???

Hitachi is the 42PD5200 non H model and the Soney is a DAVS500 5.1 surround sound system, only other thing is a Sky + box connected via scart to AV4.

    Any help appreciated.

    James

If you do not have component or RGB scart on your DVD player then S Video is your best bet.

Are you sure you have an S Video connection on AV1, mine is on AV3.
