Does anyone have experience of using an external flash gun on this camera?
It doesn't have a hot shoe, only an accessory socket. I do not have a lead for my Cobra MD210, it uses a hot shoe. Are hot shoes made for cameras, with a lead out to the accessory socket? There is no guide in the instruction book.
I also have a Sony TRV60 camcorder. This does have a hot shoe, which is used for a mike. Could it be used for a flash gun? Mention is made in the instruction manual of using an external flash, but gives no clue on how to use one.
    Thanks for any help

I have now been informed that digital cameras need dedicated flash guns for each camera
