HI Peeps
I had a few questions and wanted some advice on my set up.
So i have ordered the STR - DH790 AV receiver from richer sounds today to go along with my speaker package.
So i bought a 2nd hand monitor audio package consisting of
1 x Monitor Audio R One HD Speaker Bar
1 x Monitor Audio R360 HD Sub Woofer
2 x Monitor Audio R45 HD Rear Speaker
Now i plan to use this with my AV receiver and hope it all functions nicely.
How easy is the calibration process on this receiver?
Another thing i wanted to ask is whether i still plug my devices into my TV or into the receiver.
I currently have the 85XH9505 which supports e-arc. So HDMI 3 is the e-arc port which will go into my receiver. I will then have the following devices plugged into my tv
1) REGULAR DESKTOP PC
2) VIRGIN 360 4K RECEIEVER
3) VU DUO 4K SATELLITE ENIGMA LINUX RECEIVER
I use netflix and amazon prime too but they dont count cos i use the built in app for them
Would there be any advantage in plugging in my appliances into the receiver ?
I have attached codecs for advanced audio formats that i watch on my VU DUO4k which i have pasted below. This may help deciding what will be best for me.
I would prefer to keep everything pluggned into TV because it means i wont have to keep the receiver remote with me every time i watch. I am assuming my normal TV remote would be able to control the overall sound right?
Look forward for your input.
Thanks
