Sony DCR-HC51E white screen!

Hi

Any idea why the touch screen on my Sony DCR-HC51E has gone blank white?
Could it be the ribbon cable that links body to the screen?
Any help appreciated.

The good news is the LED backlight is OK, but as you say the ribbon /connector could be faulty.
If it's reasonably new you may get some help from local Sony, - otherwise I suspect it will be a struggle.

Try other Forums/Searches and see if that model has a reputation for this fault . .. it could be something simple like the display ribbon-connector can work loose....
