Sony DAVA030 Playing some DVDS in black and white

    Some DVDS that play normally in other DVD players only play in Black and White on my Sony DAVA30...any advice?

    Not sure if it is the same but the first thing that comes to mind is the
    region is your dvd region free and these are region 1 for example
    if this is the case try these dvds on another tv in the house it could be
    that your tv is not NTSC compatable
    I have the same prob With ntsc games on PS2 so it could be this

    I'd concur..
    Black and wite images are normally a sign that somethings not capable of displaying NTSC images... but having a little more information would help narrow this down.
