Although most people would not recommend 'all-in-one' systems, they are quite good for those with limited space or a tight budget. The Sony DAV-S300 received excellent reviews when it was launched , but the JVC does seem like a good system too. You should try and get a demo of both systems to judge which will be better for your setup.

Read the forum back over the last 2-3 months and you will find that most of the regulars hate the all-in-ones, in particular the Sony DAV.

It is mainly down to price and what you get for the price. Some say it is snobbery but it is nothing of the sort as a couple of the alternatives mentioned are also all-in-ones.

Magazine reviews of all-in-ones are not reliable as they treat all-in-ones as their own catagory and do not put them up against separates.
