Sony DAV-DZ660 - Sound from Freeview on TV while pausing Sky+ HD box

Hi,

Ive just purchased a Sony DAV-DZ660 to complete my setup (this being my first surround sound system). Im quite happy with the system and the sound it produces is awesome!

I have a Panasonic 42" TH42PZ82B, a Samsung SKY+ HD box (connected via coaxial) and a PS3 (connected via optical) and the Sony DAV (connected via scart to save on HDMI ports as the upscaling will be done via the PS3).

Anyway getting to the point ive noticed that when i pause or rewind the sky box for more than say 20 seconds the sound comes through from the TV's built in freeview which is kind of annoying. Do you know of someway I can prevent this from happening?

Also there doesnt seem to be a way to actually force it to switch input between coaxial and optical inputs and it seems to switch automatically when one is quiet. Im unsure the sky box actually turns off its output when its put into standby mode! However this is unlikely to cause an issue as i probably wont have both on at the same time.

Select a Freeview channel which doesn't broadcast any audio (i.e. a TUTV channel) on your TV's integrated tuner. Your problem is being caused by your TV sending its digital signal to the scart sockets so you can record them. When your Sky DVD input is paused, you are hearing the output from the same scart connection.

Trouble with that option is the third HDMI port is not on the back of the TV its at the front I think, i will double check this later on when im at home.

Thanks actually it never really occured to me but i can just remove the aerial from the TV as I dont watch the freeview, funny how the TV must keep the freeview running while you are viewing a picture from another source though!

Also I noticed the scart cable I used is fully wired, if I were to use a partially wired one would this remove the sound being output from the tv to the amp ?
