Sony DAV-DZ260 connecting to a projector

I have a Liesegang ddv 911 projector which has S-VHS, Video and DVI-I inputs.

I have purchased a HDMI to DVI connector but this shows a blank screen when I put a DVD into the Sony DAV-DZ260.

I tried connecting the HDMI to DVI to my PC screen and I could see a picture but it was is green.

Can you recommend how I could connect to the projector? Many thanks!

PS. I changed the lead thinking it was faulty and the new one behaves the same

It may not be able to accept the video resolutions output by the DAV-DZ260 (720p, 1080i, etc).

You could maybe try a scart to phono adaptor and connect through the video input (I guess this is a composite video input?).

Unless the monitor specifies that can accept HD video signals (720p, 1080i, etc), then I wouldn't have expected it to work with the player.

Thanks Stevie that really helped. I ended up getting the scart to phono adaptor and connecting through the video input. Although having connected my computer to the projector and seeing films in great detail, stepping down to video input is quite a drop! But I do get 5.1 surround which is amazing. Thanks again for your help - might gave to get modern projector.
