    Firstly, hiya all, :hiya:

    Now down to business.

After a couple of days of musing over an all-in-one home system I've whittled it down two, the Sony DAV-C770 and the JVC THV70R. Both are available from RS/Bristol for around £400. Whatever I get will be homed in a average size room (16"x12"), and I have a budget of around £400.

For me both have slight advantages over the other, the Sony is multidisc, SACD and really does look a sexy beast. The JVC on the other hand has a SCART, Active Sub, and looks almost as sexy as the Sony.

I was originally considering the Panasonic SCHT500 but the lack of DPLII has pushed it down the list. I really do not have the space for (or a girlfriend who will put up with) a seperates system, so that is out of the question.

Has anyone have any of these sytems, or cast an expert eye over them in the recent past who can give me advice as to which one may be the better buy?

    TIA

    Mike
