    bought the cx130 today....

    returned it:
Main fault: dead pixel - probably a one off.

But I choose not to get an exchange because I paid extra over and above the cx115 for the so called better G lens and associated processor. But I was thoroughly dispointed with the picture quality on all modes. A lot of graininess and general noise and pixelation.

Actually, due to the poor indoor performance, I figure for my usage / budget ill probably get the same quality by paying around 40 - 50£ less.

Currys have some fantastic deals online. I am personally look at the Panasonic 40s or the Sony CX115.

A question back to the table is - what are Canon like compared to Sony and Panasonic?

I have had a look at canon and there quality did seem pretty decent but don't really no about there build quality aswel as there lens, I no there are 1 of the best when it comes to cameras but can't vouch for them being the same at camcorders

what is it like in low light and are you pleased with the output.

As mentioned, my CX130 was quite blocky and pixelated. This was indoors.
