    Hi folks,

I have i my possession a Sony CRT Projector that a friend has asked me to try and sell for him (As I do quite a bit of trading on eBay and the like).

Unfortunately, I have no idea how much it's worth, as I am unable to locate a model number on the unit at all.

It seems to be in good working order (it powers up and produces the test signal o.k.).

Another problem would be postage (as it weighs a ton!, can barely lift it myself).

Can any knowledgable peeps on here give me more info on this item, or want to make an offer for it? :)

I'm goona try to put a couple of pics on here for info, but my html skills are weak.

I have more pics too, but I don't know if I can put anymore up here (Is there a limit?)

    Hi

It looks like the Sony VPH 1041QM, but am not sure. If it is, I've been told its worth between £50 and £500.

    Good luck

    Mmm..

I havent really got the facilities to demo it (no screen, or even a decent wall to project onto!)

I think my best option is to find a local specialist, and see if they'll take it off my hands.

if you can simply demonstrate that it works on say a piece of A2 paper, I would be interested.

I've upped this as it's still cluttering up my spare room, and my m8 asked me about it the other day!

MODS: As i'm trying to sell it, it may want moving to the Classified forum? (But if I could get a model number and an approximate value first, that'd be nice!)

I think its a either a 1001/1041/1042/1044 too. which ever it will be video only.Have a look around the base of the projector it will have a sticker giving the model and serial number.

"Video Graphic" is either the company that sold it or somebody has stuck the equivalent of a GTI badge on. because I don't remember them ever producing one of those.

Light output will be around the 700 lumen mark
It's at least 10years old now

I recon it would be worth about £300 -£500 with perfect tubes

    Hi,

Is this projector suitable for a newbie in home cinema I`m looking for a very cheap PJ to start me off, i`m in the process of building my own dedicated room in an outbuilding. Would I be able to display my PS2 on it and would my dvd`s play in widescreen, also would I be able to connect my PC to it..

    Sorry for all the questions

    Hi Nathan,

I'm afraid I can't answer most of your questions (I haven't got a clue about projectors really!).

It has an RGB SCART input though, so should be fine for DVD/PS2.

Maybe Roland could help you out with the others?

If you PM me with your email address, I can send you some more pics, if you like?

Same to you Budge , didn`t knacker them at all. not looking forward to trying to mount the thing though it really does weigh a lot. It appears to be working fine, put my PS2 on to it quick and got a pic so good start!!

This is all very nice, but in the future can people try and keep any trading like this on the AV Classifieds forum. That is the only place that trading should happen. :lesson:

    Cheers
